I don't think he was defending himself. I think he was dealing with some a-hole of the type he was tired of seeing.

Good. I'm tired of seeing those assholes too.

3rd y party scholarship, they also award to Notre Dame, Northwestern, among others.

It's an elite scholarship that includes room and board.

If you run on the field during a game, I have no problem with you getting KTFO.

$1000 bucks says he, and many others, will use the "but they didn't say that specific thing would cost him his scholarship in advance" argument.

Posters on here have said that (a) it's too harsh a punishment and (b) he should sue the coach for battery.

Doesn't matter at all. No one is entitled to special privilege like that scholarship afforded. They can pull it for literally anything they want. They could pull it because they just don't feel like giving him money anymore and that's ok too

I guarantee there is a clause in that scholarship.

It's not a guy by night real, the award thousands a year and have houses in each campus.

This. It's not that hard. Every time I log on, this thread is still going. Ridiculous.

They give 800 out each year as long as the kid sticks to a few guidelines. It isn't a Rhodes scholarship

They just have to write a thank you and acceptance letter and that's it

Not sure what a fly by night scholarship is, but this is is no different than most others

Yep.

Scholies are pulled all the time for GPA or Greek behavior or whatever.

Hell, Alabama pulls them if you don't pan out your freshman year in football.

This guy isn't entitled to anything.

Let me be clear. I think the argument is absurd. I merely observed that you can anticipate some lame MFers will use it.
