How much did West Virginia make when LSU drank all of their beer before halftime?
quote:
According to a school spokesman, Mountaineer Field sold over $120,000 in beer alone that night—even though parts of the stadium sold out of cold Bud Light around halftime. Not only was that figure 33% higher than the figure for the next-highest game, it accounted for 23% of the season's total beer sales over seven games.
Still not going to get in the neighborhood of $500k per game, much less $1MM.

This is good news for LSU since we are pushing for a beer garden
Yeah, that's not going to happen

Tulane has been doing it for years. Lord knows you need it the last ten years to get through some games. This year at yulman, they got about 10 different beers such as the normal domestics and craft beers like blue moon and yuengling. Prices are 6$ and 8$. Haven't seen any issues yet. They got beer men selling in every section so you don't have to leave your seat too. Lsu definitely needs to do it. Too much money to be made that can go towards the sports programs.

Two of the games have been at 11 AM this season, that has to lower the sales some I would imagine. Would love to see the sales compared to the 2:30 games and the 7 PM game in against Nebraska in a few weeks.

Know it's been said a ton but that's how you keep people in the stadium. People worried about how drunk the crowd will be should realize NFL games have been doing this for decades. You will have your isolated incidents but the whole stadium will not be a big bar room fight that everyone expects of drunk cajuns.

for sure but their stadium does holds 40,000 less people. So LSU should see a number north of what they pull in

1. NFL games do tend to be noon kick-offs on Sundays which in theory should inspire less aggressive drinking than 7pm on a saturday. however, NFL crowds tend to be a much rougher bunch...or as the O-T says, a Trashy crowd
2. Outside of the student section, it is very easy to drink in tiger stadium. It is probably worse right now with people sneaking in flasks of Bourbon.
i really doubt anything would happen that isn't already happening

More Urban legends
LSU isn't out drinking WVU. Both fan bases got extra sauced up that night.
