I may buy a point and take Duke at -6.5 just to make it interesting.

What would you think about that?

I know about 4 or 5 guys on the team who don't have good things to say about the upcoming game with Duke

I know that doesn't really matter when it comes to sports wagering, but it's pretty discouraging.

I don't think they'll get to 6 wins this season.

I think they have the size along the offensive line (if they just produce a little), and Louisiana speed all over the field, to compete in the American.

They return a lot of starters:
1/1 QB
4/5 OL
3/4 DL
7/9 OL and DL
2/2 K and P

They're the fourth most experienced team in the American and six of the conference's twelve teams return 12 starters or less.

Anyways, with buying a point to get Duke at -6.5, I can put $10.00 down and get $6.67, so I pulled the trigger.

I took them at 10 (bought the hook from 9.5) for small a couple weeks ago when they first came out.

I still think there is value at 7.5 and feel a little better about it now

He wasn't completely terrible, considering the fact he had no pass protection, no running game, and a bad defense to back him up.

185/336, 55.1%, 1962 yards, 196.2 YPG, 12 TD, 14 INT, 107.56 rating

Playing Large Home Favorites(-21 or higher) is where I had my biggest success last year in Week 1.

This year though there aren't as many Large Home Favorites that I like. I think Texas State, Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe and UTEP are all undervalued and therefore all 4 should be the play in their games.

Northern Illinois is one I considered at -21 but not at -23 where it is now

Oklahoma, Arizona and Florida are toss ups at best.

There is no big home favorite I like this year for Week 1 that stands out. Last year you had Baylor, Auburn, Mississippi State and Arizona that all were no-brainer large home favs Week 1.

I'm not sure what the numbers were but Tulane actually had a decent run game. The defense was bad but the consistent 3 and outs and turnovers from the offense made them look worse.

Whole new season with a different rhythm. Turnovers, red zone efficiency, hype, expectations, experience, luck, etc. are all likely to be very different even if the QB remained constant or a bunch of starters returned. Just my 2 cents when seeing the transitive property from prior season results used throughout this thread.
