in the game at CLE, the Warriors had played in games 2 of the previous 3 days.

In the game at GS, the Cavs were well rested.

Plus- the warriors had no Ezeli at CLE, and the cavs did have Love. so there is that.
But the regular season doesn't matter.

Mozgov dropped 93 and 29 against the Warriors last season.

agree. I missed that HUGE glaring tidbit while looking at the box scores.

What he posted sort of gives credence to the idea that the regular season doesn't matter...

It truly doesn't. The teams have time to rest and game plan for real. the regular season games they sort of wing it- just a grind to get to the end.

I honestly think Warriors in 6, but for the hell of it... Cavs in 6

This is not a prediction

Anyways, Warriors in 6

Cavs in 6.

LeBron is playing out of his mind. Kyrie looked the best he has since the beginning of the playoffs in Game 4. Most importantly, all of the role players are playing their roles perfectly and seem to have all confidence in the world. Game 1 is going to be huge as if the Cavs can punch first, a young GS without a seasoned vet might start to doubt. The Warriors haven't been really tested yet and I'm not sure how they will react on the biggest stage possible.

Warriors are better offensively and defensively, have home court advantage, a better coach, more good players, etc. The only advantage Cleveland really has is LeBron, which is enormous; given he is the best player in the NBA and one of the top two players ever.

Lebron averaged 28/8/4 on 57% shooting against San Antonio last season and lost in 5.

If the Warriors win it all, they'll probably cement themselves as one of the three best teams since the turn of the century, given their regular season win total, efficiency, and playoff dominance up to this point

When you look at the total body of work, the Warriors are right there with the 14 Spurs and 08 Celtics. I think the 01 Lakers are the best team of the last 15 years if you have a hypothetical seven game series, but they were too lazy during the regular season. If the Warriors win it all, they could very well be considered the best team since the 97 Bulls.

Golden State has looked a little shaky at home recently, so I think Cleveland steals one of the first two. I could easily see GS going into Cleveland and winning both games. I want to say Warriors in 6 out of respect for LBJ's game, but I think the Warriors take this in 5.

I am a casual fan. And if the NBA thinks I am gonna wait a whole week for the Finals to start and then expect me to watch are fricking crazy.. They will lose a huge amount of viewers compared to if they moved them up to maybe Sunday..........

Golden State can throw Iguodala, Draymond, Harrison Barnes, and Klay on him.

They can and it'll be futile. LBJ will have his way with any 1 on 1 matchups that Golden State throws on him. This series will be about rebounding and turnovers. You all are fooling yourselves if you think the regular season play by the Cavs is any evidence of who they are now, they have turned the corner.

All bullshite aside, Cavs in 7. I'm looking forward to the best series I'll have ever watched.

I agree... Bron should have a monster series. However GS has better depth and the rest of the matchups favor GS...

Can you explain this kind of thinking to me? Why does the start date matter to if you are going to watch or not?

Defensively I'll say it's a wash, Cavs have great defenders (sans Kyrie). GS does have the depth advantage.
