Official I hate Doug Gottlieb thread

Jesus I can't stand him. His voice jus irritates me and I hate him. I don't know why. His comment at the end of the Dayton and Boise game just bugged me.
"In every gym I've ever been in, that's a foul."
It clearly wasn't a foul to me. Guy jumped straight up and the Boise guy initiated the contact (what little contact there actually was). End rant.

He said it's always called a foul even though it shouldn't be. I agree, that play is call a foul far more than it isn't

Guy didnt jump straight up. Thats not the question. He clearly jumped forward
The question is after jumping forward could he stip his momentum and stay straight up and not break his plain of verticality...i think he brole that as well.
But he def jumped forward he just didnt make contact while in air

I gave his radio show a shot around 2007 or so. It was basically him making a statement and then saying, "you know? I mean....really? I just....I....I don't see how you can disagree...come on....I mean we have ____ and ____....really? You don't see that?" for 5 friggin minutes. He's horrible.

Should have to be in a natural shooting motion to get the call. It's like a charge/block, if the player is out of control, he doesn't get the block even if the defender was not totally set.

Didn't jump straight up, but had landed prior to the offensive player initiating contact. Good no call.

Guy is a grade A douche bag of douches. He is especially dig-baggish to Seth Davis. He just has no respect for other people and their comments on basketball. According to him you to have done what he did in college basketball or more to be qualified to comment on basketball anytime or anywhere.

He wasn't a terrible college player, but he does come off as a self-righteous prick. I'm surprised CBS gives him so much airtime on TV and radio. I don't know anyone who likes him.
