He was a GA/TEs coach for us under Sherman. GA and TEs coach for a staff that got fired in the Big 12 -> NFL QB Coach. Makes sense right?

So what you're telling me is that Philbin wont be in MIA long? How the frick do you take a project QB in the first round and have a former GA for TexAM as your QBs coach???

Philbin sounds like a guy that believes his system will work no matter what players or coaches are running it. That kind of attitude will get you fired quick in the NFL.

I laughed pretty hard at that guy but there are always those idiots around any team. I'm sure there were some that thought one of the Billy Joes was the answer for the Saints.

anybody know why Hard Knocks from last night hasn't made its way to HBOGO?

Is it going up eventually or should I start looking for another streaming option?

No he said, "That's our starting QB" because the dumbass grabbed his arm when he was throwing.

Oh and their coach is a pussy.

When he was in GB I thought Philbin had everything it would take to be a great head coach in the NFL. Then he hired all of our old offensive staff (the Zac Taylor thing was especially mind boggling) and I completely changed my tune. Except for Jim Turner. He molded our line from all true freshman/sophomores into one with several pro prospects on it, including 2 tackles who could easily get picked in the first round.

why the heck did they name garrard starter? pretty much a slap in the face to moore, who was decent last year. moore seems like a douche and I like tannehill's potential. but the whole garrard as a starter thing just seemed wrong to me.

Garrard was a solid QB before he got hurt and Matt Moore is now called underrated so much that hes overrated.

Also he wasnt and shouldnt be given anything. They obviously felt Garrard was the best option at QB up to this point

By every account Garrard has looked the best in camp.

Turner, the OL coach, is Sherman's cousin.
Taylor, the QB coach, is Sherman's son in law.

Gampy Sherman likes to keep it in the family.

quote:

Some people might assume that being on the same coaching staff as your father-in-law would be awkward, but Taylor tells a different story.

“It works well and obviously it’s a very professional relationship,” said Taylor, who is married to Sherman’s daughter, Sarah, and father to Sherman’s grandson, Brooks.

I love how they are trying to find the next Antonio Gates/Jimmy Graham and they got this guy who doesnt seem to be able to block his wife off the line.

My question is why put him in that position? Obviously you signed him for his speed. Throw him the damn ball, don't line him up against DL and BR shocked when he gets crushed. He was in the business world a month ago, of course his strength is sub par to these guys.

I'm guessing because even though he runs a 4.3 he's probably still not athletic enough to be a WR and take on NFL CBs. Either way, he's fricked basically.
