What a weird/interesting life that guy had. Wish they would do a 30 for 30 in him.

Played on one of the most talented little league teams ever.

3 childhood teammates make on the NL All- Star team, Brown in '86. Eric Davis and Darryl Strawberry multiple times.

I see stories of him twice after he retire on the national evening news. First he was driving 18 wheelers for Halliburton in Iraq, he was taking fire this was during the bad part. The 2nd he was in the hospital after he claimed, that 2 people tied him up in his own home(Texas) & burnt it down. He died a month or so later from the burns.

I thought he was going to be great. He gets traded to Detroit. Ends up on dl for rupturing an ear drum (with a q-tip) in dugout and never heard about him again.

Mackey Sasser

He was the guy they modeled Rube on Major League II after. Sasser was a pretty good hitter, but I remember at one point he had trouble throwing the ball back to the pitcher.
