Dave Stewart was a hell of a closer for the A's, but you never hear him mentioned.

Did Gregg Jeffries ever make it to the majors for the mets? I remember having his donruss rookie card.

He was a starter. Eckersley was the closer. Stewart came over from the Dodgers in either 86 or 87, and became one of the top AL starters in the late 80's and early 90's.
