The Oakland A's need to get their shite straight. The Padres, Twins and Marlins were the last teams sharing a stadium. They all have brand new stadiums now. The A's need to put some of that money they've been sitting on into a new stadium.
With revenue sharing and their low "Moneyball" payroll they should easily be able to afford a new stadium.

People forget Oakland is poor as frick as a city.

They rejected the Raiders offer to renovate the stadium when the A's move out, the Raiders are expected to be back in LA by 2023.

The A's are moving to San Jose in 2017, stadium and funding is all approved and ready to go, just waiting on the hearing in which the Giants are suing SJ/MLB because of proximity but it will get tossed.

I don't keep up with the MLB too much so forgive me if this is common knowledge, but why would proximity be an issue in San Jose if they're already located right across the bay?

Something very stupid dating back to the 1920's in which there was a deal in place about the proximity.

The move to San Jose in 2017 is not a done deal

This is the proposed Cisco Field. Problem is that they have no where to build it.

That's not true, they have the location in San Jose finalized.

They must have some money or is the state paying for it (taxes).

San Jose has everything ready to go. Stadium, place to put, money, stadium name, etc.

They don't have MLB approval, only thing they need.

San Fran is suing over territorial rights to the area and won't drop it.

So after that is over (it started Oct 4th), MLB has to approve it which takes 23 of 30 votes of approval.

So this would be a complete (albeit local) relocation? Or would they remain the Oakland A's but play in SJ?

They will be the San Jose A's.

Expected to be ready for 2017 season, worst case is 2019 season.

However, from the Raiders perspective, the A's moving to SJ does nothing for them.

No more baseball field, but O.co is a complete dump, and the city of Oakland rejected the Raiders proposal to renovate after the A's leave. They have no money to help.

Thus, Raiders are going to extend contract, and hope something changes (very unlikely) and then move back to LA.

The move back to LA is expected by 2023, so still aways away and anything could happen, but the Oakland mayor couldn't really care less about the Raiders/stadium and they've completely quit talking for awhile now.

Reminds me of the Saints playing the 49ers in Candlestick.

I've always thought it was pretty cool. Personally ID love to play on a field like the raiders/a's. But hey to each his own

I hate it, sounds terrible because of the "ay" at the end of Jose then A's.

Ay A's.

What a pussy thread.

Raiders can handle their old school field.

Time for OP to get pubes on his junk and grow up.
