There are like 8 or 9 good teams in the West and 2 in the East. Boom, logic busted.

In the NHL, the Cup champion can be an 8-seed in any given year. It's more unpredictable. Teams in the playoffs have a legit chance to do damage.
The NBA champion will come from a group of about 5 teams or so (Miami, Indiana, San Antonio, OKC, LAC...maybe).

not surprising, NHL games are arguably the most fun to attend of the big 4 sports

Suns are fun as hell to watch this year but I hardly care because they probably won't get past the first round if they make the playoffs. They DEFINITELY have zero chance of making it past the 2nd round.

Not surprising as the NBA is boring as frick and rigged. The Minnesotas of the world have ZERO chance to win an NBA title with the rules the way they are.

also, the availability of basketball on TV probably makes it a lot easier for fans to sit on their asses at home and watch. do NHL fans have something similar to league pass?

Minnesota is actually pretty damn good if they could just all stay healthy for a full year.

league pass is where you can buy it for a season and pick 5 teams to watch across the league and get all of their games. i'm guessing NHL Gamecenter is similar

You can hear both the home and away tv broadcasts, radio broadcats, live rewind, restart game, slow motion, etc. It's really good.

Hockey is for sure fun as hell to watch. Thats the one sport tha people who dont like sports actually somewhat like. My sister was bored as hell at the LSU-A&M game this year but loves the local hocke team games.
