Now, now. Fatty is high intensity and doesn't suffer fools. SMS is back-pedaling here, too. He is the one who is always doubting Price, whereas Fatty was trying to tell him all year to be grateful for what turned out to be a Vezina and MVP season.

Side note: I didn't realize that the NHLPA MVP is the Ted Lindsay award. To my embarrassment, my pops started chatting up Lindsay at a restaurant a few weeks ago, but Lindsay loved it. My dad said "I remember when you did the machine gun thing with your stick." Lindsay fondly recounted machine gunning the fans in Toronto in 1956.

I don't love the shootout, but I don't hate it as much as most long time fans. I mean, I get wanting casual fans to go home with a winner or a loser. I think casual fans are more accepting of ties now than they were in the 80s and 90s, but it doesn't bother me all that much. I don't like games being worth different amounts though. Make every game worth 3 points. 3 points for regulation win, 2 points for OT/shootout win, 1 point for OT/shootout loss, 0 points for regulation loss.

As for the Caps, here's the fun part. If they can get Wilson to play the "Knuble" role on the top line that they've been looking for since he retired, then Oshie will drop to the third line. The Caps could potentially have a third line of Burakovsky-Roy-Oshie. That's just unfair depth.

I doubted Price since he came into the league, so my position has not wavered or backpedaled.

I have a disdain for CP31 that started ever since he blew the lead in the Boston series.

I have even defended him but he is not as great as Fatty makes him out to be, he had a helluva season, yes but he is not clutch in playoff time. The proof is out there.

No Brandon Saad tonight, he took a puck to the face yesterday.

I liked the 3 on 3 OT last night. It may be kind of gimmicky but it was exciting. Line changes were really hard, lots of room to set up plays, really puts an emphasis on conditioning.

I have no clue why Richards went with Murray to shoot in OT instead of Milano.

Jackets doing split squad with the Blue tonight.

The game in Columbus features a line with Milano - Johanson - Foligno. Big opportunity for Sonny.

Off topic but since I'm a KHL fan, Voynov's rights will either be traded to CSKA Moscow or SKA St. Petersburg. I knew it!

He's from Traktor's system in Chelyabinsk which in the last few years has produced Voynov, Kuznetsov, and Nichushkin. Not bad.

Oleg Yevenko.

Dude is a fricking monster. 6'7, 230 lbs.

He's terrible, but he can drop bombs.

Oh, it's so close! Just watched the Caps put on a passing clinic against, essentially, the Habs' AHL defense. It was amazing. Meaningless, but amazing.

Since I know we have a lot of Stars fans.

Here's Denis Guryanov's first KHL goal scored yesterday. He also had an assist.

Glencross was cut from his tryout contract with Toronto.

Washington just gave up a 2nd and 3rd for this guy in March.

He probably doesn't get the Slapshot references. That was pretty cool. Liked Roenick trying to get his quarter from the vending machine.

This has been the only time I've liked Jeremy Roenick. It felt dirty.
