What benefitted the Cajuns in previous years was an early, secure bid so there was plenty of time to plan, etc. This year, not so much.

Son, it's a two hour, fifteen minute drive down the interstate.

Your theory is completely wrong in this case.

Not really. In 2012 there were almost 49,000 at an 11:00 game. We've only had 2 weeks to sell tickets this year compared with a month in 2012. We accepted the bid on November 24 in 2012 following the game with South Alabama.

The game is too close to Christmas for people to wait too long after Thanksgiving to make weekend trip plans in New Orleans.

8 hours if you take I-10 dad. If a coonass goes to New Orleans, you can guarantee its not for the morning or afternoon only.

I'm just saying people can support the team and go to the game very easily. They don't have to drop dollars on hotels and whatnot.

They would have been better off with a Fri nite game. Plus I can't imagine Nevada travels too well.

I'll be making the trip myself for the 4th time

I'm also looking forward to the matchup with Nevada. Besides the Tulane game last year, I've liked all our matchups.

I agree. I can only speculate that there is some sort of a rotation with bowls and time slots. Last year we had prime time Saturday night on ESPN. This year we get a brunch game.

Youre right except going straight to the game and back wouldn't be as fun

Maybe ULL fans are tired of going to the Louisiana Pity Party Bowl every year.

Cajuns fans are realists. We know with every return trip to New Orleans our chances of getting tea bagged at Crystal increase every year.

Rounds out the true New Orleans experience, IMO.

Cajuns are the last Louisiana team to win a bowl game in the dome.

LSU has as many national championships as ULL has New Orleans Bowl wins.

The elevator system in there was a nightmare after the 2012 game.

Boring game.

Neither of those teams needs to be in a bowl game.
