2) ULL fans are tired of the N.O. Bowl

Hopefully ULL gets a look from CUSA, that way they can have better opponents and start working on a better slate of games to get the fanbase excited again such as the Bahamas, St. Pete, Boca Raton, etc.

I'm sure this will get 5,003 downvotes.

10am on a Saturday is still MUCH BETTER than the awful time/bowl LSU got stuck with.

You're comparing Nevada to Notre Dame

Tulane didn't draw any Cajun fans. Nobody cares about any in-state matchup.

I don't even think it's NOLA Bowl fatigue. One reason: 10 a.m.

It's the reason I'm missing for the first time. Half the fun is the tailgate. 10 a.m. is some Big 10 level crap. I'm not driving 7 hours for that.

I've been to the past 3. Not making this year's game. All have been great games and very nice crowds by ULL

Nope. I'd be happy if we played every single year at 7 or 8 p.m. Not going to a 10 a.m. game. That's lame.

All of Scott just went to the Dome to watch Acadiana. If they don't want to go back, that leaves UL-L with about 400 fans.

My theory is that the delay in bowl bids due to the "playoff" will hurt all lower tier bowls on the schedule.

What benefitted the Cajuns in previous years was an early, secure bid so there was plenty of time to plan, etc. This year, not so much.

should have collaborated with the usa-mma to have an event after the game at the hyatt regency event center.

ESPN trumps any fan considerations. But a 10AM start time? 8AM for anyone tuning in from Nevada? They'll need to set their alarms to avoid missing kickoff.

I haven't heard anything that offensive since Jefferson Pilot scheduled LSU homecoming for an 11:30am kick in the early 90s.

On the plus side, we're going with free Boy Scout tix, then will make the 2pm matinee at the Saenger.

Your theory is completely wrong in this case. The 10am game time is a killer that the bowl has zero control over. ESPN set the time and the NOLA Bowl got screwed b/c they are airing 4 bowls on ESPN plus 1 other on ABC for opening day. 3 of the bowls are Mountain West related and couldn't have aired earlier. The Camellia Bowl got the night slot on ESPN.

ESPN has screwed over the bowl game schedule so every game can be on TV. I mean, LSU plays at 2:00 on a Tuesday!?!

Cajun fans have stayed away all year. Home attendance did not improve. That shitty Tuesday night deal with the Sun Belt doesn't help. Fourth straight NO Bowl, 10 am, and uninteresting 7-5 opponent make this a shitshow.

BTW, I think most UL fans are expecting a loss.
