Evangel will go to 5A. Curtis won't want to split championships with Evangel so they will go to 4A.

Curtis was avoiding 5A LOOOONNNNGGGG before Evangel came on the scene.

when curtis hinted at playing 5a.... the wheels got rolling right away for play in class.

There's only 10 teams in their bracket. They will be superior to every single one from a talent standpoint. They won't have time to choke.

I need to see what Rummel has first. They beat St.Aug like a drum last season.

How was OP Walker allowed to stay in 4A, with the merger with Landry, their enrollment is great than a good number of 5A schools?

I can believe the privates haven't filed an injunction over all of this. You can play up but you cant play down. So all these 4A privates when playoffs start are actually playing down when they play a 3A private. WTF??

I've heard injunctions may be filed with just a couple weeks left in the regular season so there won't be enough time to sort the mess out.

Rummel and Catholic will be in the Dome every single year if it stays this way.

Maybe that 21+ pt whooping they take in week 1 from parkview will spark them on a run to the state championship. All this did was give catholic false hope for a state championship. The resources are there and Catholic will become a power if weiner ever leaves. They have the talent but they haven't figured out the big games yet.

So how does nobody on this board think this is a good thing for the teams that grew up from pee wee football playing together having a shot to win a championship that they otherwise had no shot at it with private schools in there class.

Because it's tainted. Allowing Ole Miss to play in NAIA and win a championship wouldn't be some great accomplishment. Same thing here.

Exactly. Everyone acts like the privates dominate the publics. It simply isnt true. Especially in 5a, which is actually dominated by the publics

which proves this is about TWO schools...... and 5a had the power to move them back down... and keep them away.. as evidenced by how the playoffs unfolded .... after the split

Really? OCS has been near the 1A State Championship every since they came down. Is it fair that they get to play the small schools in 1A when they can get players from all over the twin cities and 165 North? They were fighting to get out of the first round when they played in 2A.

I don't really know about the way they grouping was worked up but I definitely agree with the idea.

ACTUALLY there is a proposal in the background to add numbers to privates to make many of them play up....

this isn't about OC... it is about curtis and eca..
