We don't need to ruin the regular season. Clemson vs bama would be the title game no matter what. Stanford, Iowa, tosu and whoever we all be railed by either team

There is good answer, just like when it was the BCS. I like the 6 team format with byes to the Top 2 seeds. It would be a little like the NFL. Also have 8 with the Top 4 getting home games. I think that Ohio State and Stanford are better than Oklahoma and Michigan State at this point in time, but Michigan State did beat Ohio State in Columbus, and Stanford lost games it should have won, so they have no one to blame but themselves.

I disagree with this. I may be wrong but I think Clemson is about to run into the same birch wall that MSU hit the other night. I think OSU would play a much better game against Alabama. If I am wrong then so be it but I think Bama was ranked 1 or 2 last year when they lost to OSU.

Tosu lost to msu with their back up qb. They looked like garbage all year. Bama would buzz saw anyone.

The bcs with a plus one would be better than a committee that contains pat retard Hayden and a woman.

Ten teams.

Two "play-in" games to bring it to eight.

6 makes sense like you said. It ensures all power 5 conf champs get in plus an at large. The argument of cutting games is silly. It's ONE extra game for the 4 or 6 teams that make it. So let's cut games of the remaining 100.

Man, I agree. Eight teams is too much. Honestly, which other four teams are deserving? Stanford? Notre Dame? Ole Miss? No way. Ohio State, maybe, but they didn't win their conference. The current format is fine.

Im not sure what the answer is at this point

the answer is simple, the 4 team playoff is perfect. So we got some duds this year, the BCS would have just been Clemson-Bama anyway so what is the harm?

8 team play creates more problems, way beyond the #9 team griping. There is always a next team. If you have an 8 team playoff it will be teams that win CCGs vs teams that don't have to play it because they finished 2nd in their division while teams that lose the CCG get screwed.

Bama is the best team. Want nothing to do with that.

The playoff committee left out the champ of the best or at the very least second best conference this year.

W-L shouldn't be the be all and end all.

Stanford as the champ of the deepest conference.

How would SEC feel if their champ had 2-losses and was left out.

If a conference is declared so tough and a grind...

then shouldn't you have more losses?

Yet if you line up the two teams scores side by side without listing the teams you couldn't tell the difference between the two. Yeah, they sure looked like "garbage". Michigan State is the team that looked like shite all season and eeked out wins if that's where you want to go.

It's college football, the regular season IS the playoffs. That's what makes the college football regular season the best in all of sports. BCS had it perfect. You must run your schedule and you must play a tough schedule so you can get ranked #1 or #2 in the final rankings. If you don't run your schedule, then you should just be thankful if the cards happen to fall your way and you still get in.

What's really funny about this is they tweeked the BCS formula over the years so you would have had different match ups in different years and you;d still say they got it right.

yeah, i think this is a decent point. Trouble is, using the "eyeball" test, many thought OU was the 2nd best team and the B1G had 3 top 10 teams. It is not pefect, but I'd rather a team like Stanford this year or Baylor/TCU last year left out, then have an 8 team playoff.

Why since #1 and 2 got to the finals. Hell, we didn't need 4 this year.
