Thank god

An appeal to the NCAA for a fifth year of eligibility in 2017 for quarterback Anthony Jennings has been denied, Ragin’ Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth told The Advertiser on Sunday night.

The Cajuns earlier this month filed an “extension of eligibility waiver” for Jennings, the former LSU starter who started as a graduate transfer for UL Lafayette in 2016.

The basis of the appeal was that Jennings, LSU’s starter true sophomore in 2014, hardly played the follow season before leaving for Lafayette.

Jennings, a native of Georgia, led the Cajuns to a 6-6 record and a R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl berth last season.

Wasn't he going to show everyone just how awful LSU's offense was?

Somewhat surprised that it was denied, but then again the NCAA sometimes does not make sense.

Former LSU players only get extra years of eligibility when they agree to throw the program under the bus.

Not me. It would be a weird precedent to set. "Oh you weren't good enough to play more snaps than you did so here is another year of eligibility." The NCAA was right here.

well he proved me wrong, I said he wasn't good enough to even start for Southern. So my bad anthony, you were good enough to start at UL...for a bit.

He ended up playing pretty poorly but I think most quarterbacks would have looked shitty behind that disaster offensive line.

Yes but he only got 4 plays in from what I understood, and that was it all year. I just saw it was for a 6th year, so no I am not surprised, I thought he was looking for a 5th year.

Yeah maybe so, still kind of feel bad for him. Hud has gone full retard though, should've just made the move to Dion Ray and let him run for his life behind the trainwreck line.

Even the NCAA has seen enough of Jennings.
