I remember this rule from Troy moving up. Didn't matter because they only won like 4-5 games that year, but this has been the rule for a long time, and this is the perfect opportunity to challenge it. Yeah the Belt sucks as a whole, but going 8-0 in any league should be enough to get you to a bowl game.

82 teams bowl eligible (including GSU and ODU) with only 76 teams getting invites this season. Not to mention Oklahoma State and Temple can still become bowl eligible this weekend.

The arse clowns in the Sunbelt pressured Benson to abandon Ga Southern in this process. The long standing members (ULL and Arky St.) didn't want to be embarrassed nationally with the publicity of an upstart winning the conference.
The Sunbelt Conference needs to follow the lead of UAB and shut it down.

i honestly dont give a shite about this but i hate when people agree to something under a set of rules and then try to get past those rules later on.

GA Southern is being recognized as the Sunbelt Champ, regardless whether or not they go to a bowl. While I think they should be in a bowl, they knew the rules in place when they lobbied to be moved up.

Then they failed, because GaSouthern did win the conference. The Sun Belt gave them a waiver. You know, Benson, the guy youre shitting on.
They got a waiver and were able to win the conference this year, and did.
The NCAA, however, does not give a single solitary frick about georgia southern and denied them another waiver.
