Are you serious? Going off ability hey you can take your pick it is close enough to a toss up that I won't argue either way..

But as a FAN??

Give me the guy Coach K annointed leader of current version Team USA basketball over the mute. Give me the chef who cooks it up after a big shot over the guy who just runs back down the court. Sports are supposed to be entertainment Leonard simply isn't a joy to watch.

But Draymond is average to good offensively and very good defensively. Harden is Elite offensively and below average defensively.

How bout you 2 do this. Take offensive games and defensive games and give both players a rank 1-10

Like Draymond is a(n) __ defensively and a(n) __ offensively for a combined XX points. Maybe that will help you both shape arguments

thats much too basic there are metrics like Vorp and win shares that do a much better job than just assigning an arbitrary #.

VORP says the combined offense and defense of Harden > the combined offense and defense of Leonard.

First of all, that wasn't the original comparison.

Secondly, LINK

quote:

Minutes tend to play too large a role in determining value, efficiency too small a role.

The biggest problem with VORP, like any other NBA statistical rating system, is that it generally ignores the quality of a player’s man defense. Until the NBA adapts more defensive statistics to give a broader picture of defense, all we have to rate players with are blocks and steals, which are clearly inadequate.

I know that's an old link, but I'd probably go with PER over VORP to make my points, ijs

with this team USA nonsense-you realize that was the squad that leaders-KD and Love quit after Paul George got hurt. So Harden was top guy at the time, right? Not any CURRENT Team USA squad which will be determined this summer.

That was in the PAST...and like you say things are fluid in this league. No one, after this season, is looking at Harden for leadership.

He had two fouls in the first 4-5 minutes and was still on the court?

both of those plays happened with 8 minutes left in the first quarter

OH so he shoulda picked up his 2nd foul in the first 4 minutes of the game in order to stop a layup? Ain't a game in NBA history been won on a first quarter layup bubba. Many games have been lost because the teams star player was on the bench with fouls or even worse, fouled out.

No it's not. Kawhi is lightyears better than Harden, I don't understand how you don't see this.

So the one who doesn't have a big ego even though he is better than the one who does? Cooks it up right before he gets torched yet again on defense? Dude, you have to even amaze yourself

It's about winning. Kawhi does that, Harden doesnt. Timmy D isn't a joy to watch. You think his 5 rings care?

"Leonard, for one, is an unqualified joy to watch."

Oops.

Give me the guy with an NBA Finals MVP to his name over the guy whose claims to fame are "cooking it up," facial hair, and an unofficial "player's MVP" award.

You give him one opinion from some guy he's never heard of by some network in the New England area? How dare you....In all the years he's been covering the league...

What does Boston know about basketball anyways?

I thank my lucky stars that my grandparents lived in Houston and not San Antonio growing up. AS a fan it ain't all about winning, it's also about having players on your squad that you like to pull for. Being a Spurs fan would be great when it comes to wins, but as far as having guys on the team that you want to pull for, there's no team that could be worse.

He's light years better yet for the last 2 years Harden has been 1st team ALL nba, Leonard, ZERO times first team All NBA. He's light years better that's why the fellow NBA players named LEONARD they MVP and not James. Come on man you are being silly.

That writer doesn't even like the Spurs, it was just ridiculously easy to throw your stupid words back in your face

I think the writers in general like KL well enough, though. Wouldn't have won DPOY otherwise.

How'd Harden do there btw?
