The Curry less- Warriors do not have the best player on the court vs. OKC,Spurs,Cavs or Clips

Yea that really hurt them yesterday.

GSW has best player on court, tied at half.

2nd half, HOU has the best player, GSW shoot the lights out.

The Rockets are right there with Memphis as the worst teams in the playoffs.

Memphis was a bottom 5 team in the whole league over the last month + of the season, meanwhile CC net rating put them easily inside the top 10.

Klay and Draymond don't play for the Rockets.

You make my point for me, the "best player" won't necessarily be the best player for one half, or one game, or one series. So just because OKC, LAC, etc may have the player who you think is the best player, well let's just say that doesn't mean much in a small sample size like a game or a series.

Jonathan Feigen ?@Jonathan_Feigen 16h16 hours ago
Harden had 18p, 10a, 7r, 7st (franchise playoff record.) Per Elias, only Rick Barry and Magic Johnson had those numbers in a playoff game.

holy shite I didn't realize how close JH13 was to a quad double, wouldve had a chance at it if he hadn't sat the last 8 min.

without Curry? Different story...
2014: 0-2
2/22 @IND (98-104); 38-44 IND
3/13 @DEN (103-114); 30-52 DEN

2015: 2-1
12/30 @DAL (91-114); 42-40 DAL
12/31 @HOU (114-110); 41-41 HOU
3/1 ATL (109-105); 48-34 ATL

So in games he has completely sat out, they've gone 2-3 the past 2 years. You guys are 1-2 against a Curry-less GSW this year, not including last night's debacle.

Maybe its just Houston and not just about anyone.

quote:

They handled the Spurs as easily as one NBA team can handle any other the 2 games in GSW. Is Curry worth over 40 points in 2 games? Likely not, no. They don't even have to win a road game all they have to do is protect. they have lots of other guys who can accept an increased role. More shots for Iggy, oh he goes 9-11. Livingston posting up Parker? Safe to say that's almost as much as of a mismatch as Parker on Steph on the perimeter.

Iggy doesn't go 9/11 on most nights, Livingston has played pretty the same amount he averages and puts up the same numbers he does normally. that doesn't mean double minutes = double production either.

Curry v SAS this year:
120-90 W; 12/20, 6/9, 7/7; 37 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals, 1 turnover

79-87 L; 4/18, 1/12, 5/5; 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, 2 turnovers

112-101 W; 11/19, 3/7, 2/2; 27 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals, 3 turnovers

92-86 W; 13/22, 4/9, 7/7; 37 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 4 turnovers

so actually, he has to play pretty well for them to win it "easily".

Livingston v SAS:
Game 1: 6/6, 13 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 17 minutes
Game 2: 1/3, 2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 22 minutes
Game 3: 3/5, 6 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists, 19 minutes
Game 4: 2/5, 4 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 22 minutes

Based on his game 5 performance against GS last season?

Clips with Blake playing like he is are nothing special, certainly not as good as the team that HOU eliminated last year.

Based on his averages against GS in the playoffs the last 2 seasons, it's not likely to happen.

I read it. You probably did too, but since it disproved one of your concrete theories you act like you didn't

Exactly. Asterisks talk is ridiculous. Durability is part of being a championship team. You could point to probably most championship teams and reveal where their path was made easier due to an opponent injury.

Guess we will see.

How about the games tonight? Does Dallas have a chance to make it a series? What about Charlotte and Portland?
