Well Memphis mailed that one in.

I'd like to see this Portland team actually make some noise I have a feeling they will make an early departure like the Hawks.
I don't think they will go far either. The reason I think this is because Aldridge won't take it to the rim. He's a jumpshooting big man. That can work for a game or two when he gets hot. But I don't think that is good enough to win a 7 game series vs a legit team.

He use to but he has gotten too finesse. I have been holding out hope for him to take in down low again, but even in this game when he gets a mismatch, he post fades.

Man how is that not a double dribble? I'm rooting for the Blazers, but just wow.

Fair enough.

Aldridge should be abusing both Tim and Bonner

The throw ahead by Wes? Ya that was a joke.

4 straight losses.
Worst RRT ever.
We obviously shot our wad during the 2014 campaign.
Was it worth it?
Hell yes.

Parker needs to take a week or two off. He's not playing like himself

That made things right in the world.

Pels win 3 straight. Spurs lose 4 straight. Pels only 4 games back

Yup, my soul is content
Allows me to be pragmatic about the rest of the Big3 era.
We've had an absurd run of success. Had to taper off sometime, and if now is that time, then I'm cool with the memories from '99-'14, and am ready to settle in and see what the next era of basketball will be like in the Alamo City.
I'll always be able to tell my kids I got to see the great Tim Duncan play in person on multiple occasions

I know he has the career numbers to back it up but I've always looked at Tony as overrated. Some years people put him in the top 2-3 in the league at pg and I just never agree with it.
Pop year in year out does a top 3 coaching job consistently

I completely agree. But there are two streaks during the Duncan Era that I don't want to see end this season: 50 wins and making the playoffs. Anything beyond that is gravy. We have to go 16-9 for the remaining games to reach 50 wins.

I dunno, I think he definitely was one of the best a few years ago. He's just not right physically or mentally right now though, and I don't know if he is going to come back from it

Watching Duncan come in finding his own being mentored by The Admiral would have been pretty amazing. I'm hoping what we are watching in NO with AD growing up in front of our eyes is the same and can have half of the success

From 2006-2013, he was absolutely a top 3 PG.
IMO, he always gets underrated because of the system SA runs, which has always been predicated on his speed wreaking havoc on a defense's spacing and responsibilities, which is not a quantifiable effect.

Watching Big Dave willingly concede the featured role in the offense while he was arguably still capable of carrying the load by himself was just stunning to watch.
There's a reason Robinson is the legend he is in SA. I wish the same success for AD in his career. It's special.
