Towns will be like Bynum in his mini-prime with the lakers.

WCS will be a better version of deandre jordan.

if WCS had trouble scoring in college, how is he going to score in the nba? At the very best he will be a tyson chandler, but even chandler took years and years to develop into a solid nba player. WCS is rail thin, Deandre is an absolute beast, the only thing they have in common is neither can shoot. To say WCS will be a better version of deandre is laughable.

Chandler was straight out of HS @ 224 lbs. naturally it took him longer. He came in at 18, WCS will come in at 22

Deandre was 6' 9.75" @ 250 lbs

WCS is 6' 11.25" @ 242 lbs

So if one is rail thin so is the other

WCS won't be expected to score in the NBA. He's a legit 7' with shoes with a huge wingspan and a 37" vert. He's could be a Rudy Gobert like defensive force in year and could certainly be better version of Jordan down the road. Jordan took years to develop himself and one could say he isn't develop yet. His offense and FT shooting are terrible. Granted he can rebound and block but he still gets abused offensively by a lot of NBA centers

It might not be the worst idea. Randle is a talent, for sure, but I get the feeling the Lakers want to win sooner rather than later.

thats exactly what mitch said. he said that it would have to be the right trade, and when asked what that would be, he said if there were a veteran player who could immediately step in and allow us to become noticeably better in the short term. i dont think its likely to happen, but i wouldnt put it past them. especially if we take okafor cause i have to assume they think the same way we all do and question whether or not pairing both jahlil and julius can work

julius has apparently looked really good in all of his workouts coming off his injury. hes lost 18 pounds apparently and his weight was one of his biggest knocks last summer

Might just be a keeper, then! Y'all still need someone to run the point, though. An athlete at the 3 wouldn't hurt, either. I'm not too worried about SG for the Lakers, after Kobe leaves they'll probably be able to sign Oladipo next offseason. (Pretty sure he's a UFA.)

our point guard situation depends on jordan clarkson. if he can follow up with another successful season, we may just not even deal with any other option outside of trying to sign russel westbrook. i think this offseason we are signing tobias harris or khris middleton, and then rolling with KAT/jahlil and julius. that probably wont be how we start since we rarely give rookies legit startign minutes right off the bat but i think our starting lineup this year eventually looks like

jordan clarkson
kobe
tobias harris/khris middleton
julius
KAT/jahlil

and then just hope we can get KD out of OKC

From what I've heard he wasn't a fan of the Scott Brooks decision.

Plus WCS was knocking down midrange jumpers this year at UK, something DAJ still can't do.

Like I said earlier I think fit is super important for him, but I don't think he is going to bust. I absolutely love the idea of pairing him with Boogie in Sacramento.

Cauley-Stein has bust written all over him.

I really like Pat Connaughton. Hope he is there for the Grizz at 25

Based on what? Magic said they intend to resign Harris and Middleton said he wants to remain with MKE..

Jordan was a middling NBA player for 5 years before he morphed into what he is today.

i think by the time WCS is 25 or 26 he'll be pretty good NBA player

you can NEVER count out athletic guys over 6-10 who have the mindset to play defense and rebound

Exactly

He's very similar to Nerlens except more athletic and +40 lbs.

Worked out for them last week. 25 might be too high for him, but I wouldn't mind it. He sort of fits the role that I'd like to see them fill. Athletic guy that can down 3's.

I'd prefer more playmaking ability, but at 25 trying to find a guy who checks that many things off is super rare.

You do recognize that Deandre Jordan averaged 7.9 and 6.0 in college, right?
