National Guard has been PAYING NFL millions to honor veterans

And we thought it was the NFL just being so patriotic. 
"An investigation by Christopher Baxter and Jonathan D. Salant at NJ.com found that over the past three years, the National Guard has paid $5.3 million to 11 different NFL teams for these sorts of salutes, along with pregame video messages and other sorts of promotion"

I am sure that is because the agency handling this for the National Guard told him to present it that way. Goodell is a POS but this is just marketing, if anyone should be blamed for this misrepresentation it should be the National Guard.

Come on. When they march them in for the draft or say now time to salute our servicemen you really knew the NFL was getting paid for that? I would bet over 90 percent of people would not think so. And yes I know almost everything is about money.

So if the National Guard came up to you and said "we'll give you $5.3 million if you put on some show to honor us" you'd turn it down? Really?

Goodell has no idea what he is doing? He is making his owners more money than ever on a yearly basis. Granted, he is an a-hole, but to say he doesn't know what he is doing is just laughable.
