The guy is doing it for the team. I think he's physically past his expiration date but he's mentally managing the game based on experience and feel. It must be hard for a great competitor like him to not be the centerpiece of the team and knowing that he's more of a liability than an asset. And yet, he's doing just enough to win.

People laugh a him but I respect him more now.

I know this is probably heresy, but I would be happy if he won it.

I just think he has gone past his physical limit and this is his last shot.

so you respect an athlete on the decline being carried by his defense more than tGOAT in his prime?

He's just doing what Brady and Montana have always done

i hope to god they win so he can ride off into the sunset.... he should have retired last year, as it's pretty clear he's physically done... hate to see a guy limp it to the finish line, and i honestly feel that if he loses, he'll have an axe to grind and try to limp it down the stretch again next season....

Hopefully he treats the Panthers like a female trainer and puts his butthole on them.

frick that! Newton is about to become the most famous black QB of all time. Why should we give a shite about Peyton Manning winning a second Super Bowl?

Who would sign him? There are maybe 2 teams in the NFL who would look at Manning as an upgrade, and only then, if he took a paycut of 80% +
