With what Ive seen from the young guns so far this season has impressed me, especially Dillon and Eakin. They might come close in the next 5-7 years, heres to wishful thinking

Paul Maclean's sister is here in Nova Scotia, she's a sports psychologist at our local university where my wife is a Prof, I was talking to her at a function the other night about the Ottawa Senators and how they keep winning in spite of losing half their team to injuries. She says the key to this incredible perseverance is preparation, before the season Paul assembles the team and says look around we are going to lose one person beside you, or it could be you that we lose to injury...we will carry on like in times of war, your brother or yourself will finish what we have all started...then he takes the team to the National war museum to talk about sacrifice...
BTW Ottawa won again last night against Montreal in ot...

Big one tonight for the Caps. Knowing DC sports, Semin will probably go off against the Caps. I'm interested to see if anyone tries to drop the gloves with Brouwer after his comments about Semin.

Backstrom and Chimera are both questionable for tonight. Brouwer better back up his talk. He's been slamming Semin pretty hard the past two days.

In other news, Dallas just traded Michael Ryder for Erik Cole from MTL. I actually REALLY like this move.

Ryder is a UFA at the end of the season, and Cole has 2 more years left at 4.5 mil/year. Still an experienced vet.

I keep hearing about this sinister plan. What I don't understand is why he is all for the Stars moving out of the Pacific division and into a division with the Midwest teams, which is all but a done deal now, if he is going to move them to Seattle.

He can't tip off the NHL about his relocation plans. The potential buyers for Phoenix did that, and the NHL nixed the deal.

Tonight they made another deal to screw up the team by trading Ryder (one of the only consistent scorers we have).

I hate it. We keep making these deals (Neal for Alex G. ring a bell?) and we keep getting burned. Worse, we trade a young player for an old one, like we're really going to compete for a playoff spot?

It's like the team is trying to wreck the roster to run the fans off (no fans, easier to convince the NHL to allow relocation)

I hated the Neal deal. SO STUPID.
But i feel differently About this. Ryder Imo was gonna sign somewhere else after this season anyway. We have Cole for more years, so that's one less spot to fill in the offseason. Cole is also a bigger and more physical player, which the Stars need. Our third line will be amazing when we get Whitney back and everyone is healthy

Up 3-2!

Got to love it when your blue line can let it fly.
