Tim Kurkjian just reported on air that the Cubs and the Mariners have a trade in the works. Cubs have been looking at lefty Mike Montgomery.

Give the Mariners Cogs! They know they want him.

Had to figure Vogelbach to an AL club was happening.

Wonder how this impacts Chapman/Miller.

Was likely never going to happen in my opinion. Yankees wanted starter value for bullpen arms. Cubs took reclamation projects last year and had a pretty decent bullpen. No need to give away the farm when lesser arms would probably sure up the pen.

looking at some of the sellers and damn, those teams are really bad and those rosters and pitching, yikes.

When do Twins start selling some of those struggling, talented players for young pitching? They need pitching bad.

Can some one pry Sonny Gray out of Oakland? Young, good pitcher having a really bad year.

I tend to agree. I'm scared shitless that we (DC) are going to overpay and give up one of our prime starting prospects for 2 months of Dusty's boy Chapman.

I have a feeling Nats are going to trade Giolito or (more likely) Lopez.

If you ignore the 6 runs Lopez looked real promising last night. 98 and that curve was hot fire.

Beltran is a great fit for any contender as a big bat 4th OF and experienced postseason leader clubhouse guy

i don't think they can, he's on many teams list, and they could get a big over pay for him. U have to sell, if some one wants to give talent away.

Miller is a bigger chip because he is under team Co trol longer, plus he doesn't need to close. he can set up without the ego.
