I've seen runs score on wild intentional walk pitches, I've seen teams decide to nix the intentional walk mid AB, I've seen pitches float back over the plate and the batter gets a hit off them.
My favorite: Johnny Bench was batting. Full count. The catcher signalled for an intentional walk. Then the pitcher threw a strike as the catcher jumped behind the plate.
The verbal intentional walk is used in beer league softball. It should be left there along with the DH.

I think this could work with some adjustments. Give the offense the option to put a runner on 2nd with one out. Or opt the put a runner on 3rd with 2 outs. You can come up with some crazy strategies.

No outs and 1 out right?

Since CFB becomes baseball in OT, I believe turnabout is fair play.
In extra innings, flip a coin to see who bats first in the 15 minute overtime period, then the first team to score wins

Or make the pitchers use their off hand.
I guess we'll get used to it.
Can we please keep the current rule for playoff and ws?

I remember watching that game on TV. All Bench could do after that pitch was grin - he'd been had.

This rule about putting the runner on 2nd has been used before in college softball, but I'm not sure it's still a thing. The main reasoning back then was that there were a lot of low scoring games and an extra inning game might last forever if the pitchers were dominating. These days more runs are scored in softball so the rule isn't as necessary.
I don't like any of the proposed changes for baseball. Why mess with something that has worked for 150 years?
Although I would have no issue with strike zone being altered...

Totally fine with it in the regular season, except I would only start it from the 12th inning on.
I'd be totally fine with starting this in the 11th or 12 inning.

Rob Manfred is the only commissioner that I know of who openly acknowledges his dislike of watching his sport on TV. Every rule change he has proposed has been targeted to reduce the amount of time he has to spend watching a baseball game on TV.

Manfred needs to chill. He seems to be going a little overboard with his proposed rules changes.

I would maybe be okay with this in the All-Star game or spring training.

Yeah if they were to adopt this I would say have 3 regular innings then do it.

At the start of the 10th each manager runs from the dugout to see who can first retrieve a ball placed at the center field wall

Strike zone is already altered. Umps invented their own.
High strike is gone.
Use computers and the actual rule book.

automatically would place a runner on second base at the start of extra innings

How idiotic. I hate trying to artificially alter the scoring like that.

Its dumb, but I get it. Too often we see games going into the next day with a noon game right after that.
A few things I hate about it, but, stupid to start on 2nd, I could live with 1st.
I would rather see this be used in interleague play, not divisional games.
