Anyone agree with Gundy?

They certainly would have had more passing yards than Jordan Jefferson

Does Gundy know that his 2011 team was 107th in total defense? Here's what LSU did to better defenses:

against Oregon (67th): 40 points
against West Virginia (33rd): 49 points
against Arky (47th): 38 points
against UGA (5th): 42 points

That oSu team did not care about giving up yards. They got turnovers and set tone how BigXII teams for a decade treated defense

I believe they had 25 interceptions and not sure how many FR they had. They also had 30 or so sacks

talk about how good his team was but don't mention an opponent they didn't play or a game they didn't win

If LSU got up 10 pts on his arse that year, He would have lost by at least 21 when that defense got through with them.

We beat several top 5-10 teams by multiple touchdowns. Explain please.

Probably shouldn’t have lost to Iowa State.

Guess they should've cared more and they wouldn't have allowed 37 points to 6-7 Iowa St.

More or less yes, in one of his pressers he said he didn't think they where one of the 2 best teams in the country. Meanwhile saban begged for a rematch

You’re right. They were first in the country in turnover margin. Do you know who was second? LSU. Difference being LSU was 2nd in total defense (OSU was 107th) and 2nd in scoring defense (OSU was 61st).

LSU faced Oregon (4th in total offense and 3rd in scoring) and WVU (15th in total offense and 13th in scoring). Held them to 27 and 21 points in 13 point and 26 point victories.

Yeah, OSU wasn’t beating LSU in 2011.

LSU averaged .7 turnovers a game that season meaning they were elite at not turning the ball over. They also forced 2.1 turnovers a game. LSU was literally a nightmare matchup for OSU. LSU also had one of the best punters in the country that year. OSU legit has ZERO advantages in that game. LSU's offense was better than OSU's defense and LSU's defense was better than OSU's offense.

LSU not getting to play Ok State in 2011 is one of the major downfalls of LSU football of that era. The program got owner by Alabama and never psychological recovered for the rest of Les' tenure.

Yeah, LSU would have steamrolled Okie State in 2011.

LSU played Bama very tough the 2 out of 3 the next few years. If they had won even one of those games they'd have another title.

In the 2012 season game vs bama lsu was up 17-14 with 1-minute ot play. Then tj yeldon happend. ugh.

2013 bama dominated and I think that was the game Mett had to basically drag himself off the field.

2014 lsu lead until a game tying last minute field goal, then lost in Ot

I don't think LSU completely broke until the 2015 run LF7 up the middle every single play game.

After that game, Les was never going to beat Saban again.

How do you come up with the terrible takes you post daily here? Does it require effort or do they just come naturally?

he's wrong but I will say in both the arkansas and UGA games the offense started showing some issues
Definitely. I may be a game off, but I think we had less than 100 yards passing in both of those games.

But...Okie St's defense was really bad. We would have been able to run on them at will and likely our D being as good as they were could at least contain Oklahoma St, cause a turnover or 2 and just play keep away with our run game.

LSU probably wins that game something like 31-21 IMO

Sure, but they also gave up a shite ton of yards and points. And LSU's defense also got turnovers, but did not give up a shite ton of yards and points.
