But defensively, OSU gave up 24 or more in all but 3 games that season. LSU gave up 24 or more once the entire season, the 1st game of their season.

If that LSU team played Iowa St or Stanford it wouldn’t be close. That LSU defense was absurd in talent. Oklahoma St would have been similar to the Oregon/LSU score.

Okie State got outgained by nearly 200 yards by Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl. They were completely outplayed and only won that game due to Stanford's kicker shitting the bed. And let's look at it another way. The AP had no dog in the fight since their poll was no longer used in the BCS rankings and they've crowned different champions than the BCS Champion in years past. Their voters have no incentive not to vote for the team that they believe was the best in the country. Oklahoma State got four AP #1 votes in the final poll. Alabama got 55.

he's wrong but I will say in both the arkansas and UGA games the offense started showing some issues, we would eventually begin to drub both teams but STs and D had a lot to do with it.
