You can maybe make the case that prime Steffi beats prime Serena. But, as far as accomplished player, the discussion is over. And it was over years ago. A similar argument might be Sampras v Fed. Even though I am a Fedtard and never liked Sampras, I think A+ Sampras may have been better than A+ Fed. That said, Fed has made Pete's career look pedestrian.

Serena versus Graf in their primes Serena would skull drag Graf

Has anyone ever raised the possibility that Serena's father might have given her and her sister steroids when they were young to help make them physically stronger than other women tennis players?

I think we should find out who is the #700 ranked male tennis player and after Serena has her baby and gets back in shape then she should play the #700 ranked male tennis player.

That's something most people are missing. McEnroe didn't say she couldn't beat the 700th ranked player (ignoring it was a number he just threw out there to begin with). He said due to her mental toughness among other things she probably could beat some of the guys. But over the grueling course of the season she wouldn't fare well.

I know that.

It actually has more to do with a bunch of feminist women wanting to use Serena as an example of a woman who is better than every man at playing tennis so they can say a woman is physically superior to all men.

Great!

Then I'm not the only one who thinks the William sisters dominated women's tennis because they cheated to get as good as they are.

They are the Barry Bonds of women's tennis.

Maybe her father didn't give her as much steroids as he gave Serena.

Serena has always been kind of ripped. If you want to make a case that she has been pumped with PEDs since she was a teenager, I can accept that. But, it's not like she has ever had a single huge body change. And, she actually did come into some events overweight and out of shape. She still won based on an incredible serve and mental toughness. I think that also explains her longevity. But, she could be doping or using something for recovery at this stage in her career and I wouldn't be surprised.

Considering she's never failed a drug test ever I'd love to know what masking agents she uses. It's amazing in 2017 that people are still hurt by the sisters coming in and dominating that dry arse sport.

I read her tweet. Was perfectly civil and respectable. No problem with her speaking out with the way the media presented what Mac said

How would Mc continuing to speak her name interfere with her having her baby?

Steffi had:

Sabatini

Seles: (On her way to GOAT before being brutally stabbed; Seles was the Nadal to Steffi's Federer; she was surpassing Steffi in all respects...that's why that psycho stabbed her...he was a HUGE STEFFI GRAF fan.)

Hingis (so awesome)

Still Navratilova

Novotana

That Sanchez-Vicario gal

Serena has had some garbage: Henin, Sharapova (all legs and looks) Mary Peirce, Lindsey Davenport???

Serena's biggest competition turned out to be a total flameout in Sharapova.

John McEnroe owes the world an apology — and now.

He was wrong when he said Serena Williams would probably rank around No. 700 in the world if she were competing against men. Her ranking would be more like No. 1,000.

quote:

McEnroe, 58, has said a lot of intentionally inflammatory and regrettable things over the years, but what he said about Williams does not even rank in his top 700. Maybe it's time to renew the battle of sexes that pitted King vs. Riggs in 1973. McEnroe says Donald Trump offered years ago to pay him to play Williams. I would pay to watch that.

And my money would be on Mac.

I think overall the people that are "upset", aren't that many. Just a vocal bunch.
