Had to look it up...records for modern javelins.
Boys H.S. javelin record: 255 ft 4 in (77.83 m)
Women's World Record: 237 ft (72.28) (Men's is 343 feet)
The girls H.S. javelin record is 185 feet.

That's something most people are missing. McEnroe didn't say she couldn't beat the 700th ranked player (ignoring it was a number he just threw out there to begin with). He said due to her mental toughness among other things she probably could beat some of the guys. But over the grueling course of the season she wouldn't fare well.

Serena would have trouble winning a match at the Men's NCAA Singles tournament. The level in College tennis has gotten that high. If you watch a men's singles match, from college level and up, the physicality and speed is so much different. She knows this is true, but is too prideful to admit it. It's fine, people are idiots.
