From the original interview:

quote:

Some wouldn’t qualify it, some would say she’s the best player in the world. Why qualify it?

Uhh... because saying she's the best female player is true and saying she's the best player is not?

Serena's privacy statement is the thing that bugs me the most in that story. She asks him to respect her privacy because she is trying to have a baby? He didn't knock on her door and ask to rub her belly. He answered a question about playing tennis. What does her having a baby have to do with anything?

As Clay Travis said, let's give the SJWs what they want and get rid of the WNBA by allowing women to try out for the NBA and eliminate the women's tees on the golf course.

Jesus fricking Christ, Serena. First, "keep my name out your mouth" is the dumbest saying. Don't say my name? What are you, Voldemort? He was asked about you. "No, sorry. Can't answer that one. I'm keeping that name out of my mouth." I can't stand people like her.

Second, way to keep your pregnancy private

yeah that's what I'm trying to figure out, its like she threw it in there to play even more of a victim.

respect my privacy while I'm pregnant...but please pick up the latest issue of Vanity Fair in which I'm naked displaying my pregnant belly.....just don't say my name OK?

I think it's fair to do a magazine cover, even naked, but want your privacy to be protected.

That being said, this thing with McEnroe has literally nothing to do with her privacy, WTF, like I'm taking crazy pills.

If McEnroe had said she could be one of the best, top 5 against the men, I wonder if she would have still begged for privacy and keeping her name out of his mouth.

McEnroe was on CBS This Morning. Charlie Rose and his two bozo COWs were badgering him to apologize to Serena for his comment and McEnroe refused to apologize to her.

McEnroe said we could solve the question of how good pro female tennis players are compared to pro men tennis players by having the men and women play each other.

I think we should find out who is the #700 ranked male tennis player and after Serena has her baby and gets back in shape then she should play the #700 ranked male tennis player.

That would shut up the women who are insulting all the pro male tennis players when they say Serena is not only the best pro female tennis player but also the best pro tennis player.

I felt like this when the video came out with her hitting tennis balls while pregnant. People lost their minds over it. Yeah, pregnancy will slow down a lot of women, but it's not like she completely lost any athleticism she ever had. Tennis is what she does every single day. I know plenty of women that didn't greatly change their workout routine while they were pregnant until the last month or so.

If McEnroe had posted naked pics of her, I would totally agree, respect her privacy!!!!!

But what he did was different, just slightly different.

McEnroe also said that this morning on CBS This Morning but he was joking about that ranking to placate the 2 COWS on the program.

He's sticking with his #700 ranking.

Roddick right now would blow pre baby Serena off the court... Mac would beat her but just by a bit....

Roddick would probably bagel her.

I think Mac beats her in a one-set format. He's getting a little up in years, though.

ESPN interviewed #701 ranked Dmitri Tursunov..
quote:

It would be a similar argument to: who would run faster, the fastest woman or the fastest man? Tennis is becoming more and more a physical sport, so it's going to be hard for a woman to beat the men.

quote:

I've never heard John say anything absolutely stupid. He knows his stuff. What he said about her being an incredible player is correct -- explosive, powerful and she puts in a lot of work. But I would hope that I would win.

He basically said "Yea I'd probably beat her"

So now people are taking the #700 ranking "literally"

Obviously in reality, it'd be much worse than that.

Of course Murray would smoke her. There's a big difference between Serena playing Murray and Serena playing the 700th ranked player on the men's side. That said, McEnroe is absolutely correct. And I think McEnroe saying 700 is being pretty generous. Three's a ton of guys ranked 1000 plus playing at the top levels in college who would beat Serena.
