McCaffrey should win Heisman, if justice is applied.

KO Return Yds through 12 games:
922, 29.7 Yds/rertun, #7 in nation.
Receiving Yards though 12 games:
435, 11.8 yds/reception.
NOTES:
-7 rushing TDS (fullback takes most short-yardage attempts and leads team with 13 TDs)
-3 recieving TDs
-1 KO return TD
-1 passing TD
-Additional yards accumulated on minimal punt returns and passing.
quote:Plays for Power 5, 10-win, Division Champion vying for 11th win in conference championship and remains -albeit against long odds- a playoff contender.

Number of TDs will keep the trophy out of hands

it will probably be watson, just for being undefeated and #1 team

He just broke Reggie Bush's Pac-12 all-purpose yards record. He's 360 yards shy of the all-time record set by Barry Sanders. If he can beat that, he deserves the Heisman.

If I am being honest, I really don't think McCaffrey is all that. We (ND) bottled him pretty well on Saturday night, and our defense, especially our linebackers, is nothing to write home about.
Put Fournette or Cook or a dozen other dudes in his position (hell, put CJ Prosise) with that offense, and they would do just as well.
Hogan was the one who beat us on Saturday. Not McCaffrey.

They are going to give it to Henry. It doesn't matter that it doesn't make sense.

If Fournette had the advantage of the red team's o-line, scheme, and coaching, he would have about 4,000 rushing yards by now, dopey.

I hate what the Heisman has become. It has become the "best player on the best team award" and is the most overrated trophy in college football.
With that being said McCaffrey should get a lot of votes. If the voting comes down to regions he will lock up the West Coast. Henry, Cook and Watson will split South. The Mid-West will determine who wins the Heisman this year.

Hes deserving thats for sure. Just dont think hes gotten the correct amount of press to get him over the edge.

This or Henry. Those are my top two.

Look at this really quick: LINK /
Consider that Henry's OL is arse and that Bama would not be in this position without him.
Now, why does it not make sense for Henry to win it? I'd say Cook and Watson are great candidates as well.

Bama's. OL. Is. Not. Very. Good. This. Year.
It's the biggest WTF of the year for Bama, because C-Rob was great last year, Kelly is a very good Center, and Dom Jackson is supposed to be a road grader. They have their moments, but overall they don't mesh well. Henry's speed and open field vision is why he has been a beast.

I get this but Henry is on pace for a historic season. He'd be a legitimate Heisman contender no matter what P5 team he played on. People downplaying the season he's having are down right comical.

At this point, if someone doesn't think Henry is a perfectly legit winner of the Heisman, they have problems.

I agree with you. He's the best skill position player in the game but the award doesn't go to the most deserving

You think he's better than Fournette?

I'd say he's more deserving based on his achievements. I don't believe anyone comes close to accomplishing what he's done this year. The Heisman has evolved to something else though. It's now "who's playing the best, on the best team at the end of the year" award.
I watched a lot of Stanford football this year, he's as talented, or more...than anyone.

No he isn't. Melvin Gordon had 2587 yards last year on 7.5 yards per carry and 32 TDs. Henry would have to average 24 carries for 395 yards and 5 TD his last 2 games to match Gordon's season last year.
Henry's numbers are not historic. He's having a solid year but still far behind Cook and laughable compared to Gordon last year.
