He took over the AL era leader position last night at 2.97. Do you think he's a true #1 ace and are the Yankees gonna have to back the truck up for him after next year. Funny Thing is that last night he had no K's but still stifled bostons hitters by getting a ton of weak contact.

He is a legit Cy Young candidate. Hasn't he been pitching with a partial torn UCL though? I would think that would be the biggest concern with him. But another year similar to this, and I'm sure he will get a big new contract.

I thought his contract was ridiculous when they signed him but he's performed up to it

He's a very good pitcher that no one ever really talks about much.

I loved his feud with Mike Awesome in ECW.

Tanaka has better numbers than Strasburg throughout the board over the last three years. He has a lower ERA, WHIP, Hits/9 IPs, BB/9 IP and strikeout to walk ratio than Strasburg in the past three seasons and he's done it in a much tougher division for pitchers. I won't be surprised if Tanaka gets a contract north of $200 million if he decides to hit the open market.

He's a top 5 pitcher and his splitter is the best weapon in baseball right now
