Markieff Morris refuses to play for Suns

Because they traded away his brother...
LINK
"One thing for sure, I am not going to be there," Markieff Morris told the Philadelphia Inquirer on Tuesday. "If you want to put that out there, you can put that out. I don't give a [freak]. I am not going to be there at all. That's just what it is."
I hope he doesn't get his way, and I disgusted how the NBA has become such a players league where they believe they can make these demands. What happened to the old days of, "I understand, its a business." Makes me sick..

Well it's his twin brother.
He's just reacting emotionally. He's not going to give up a gamecheck over it.

Suns will be better off after dumping those chumps so TJ Warren can get more minutes

Yeah, I really yearn for the days of players giving canned responses to questions. How dare he speak his mind

Right. When they parrot out typical athlete-speak it bores us, but when they speak their minds it's "how dare they have opinions!"

Guys guys guys, you took what I said too literal.
I take it as more a bitch move that he will for once in life have to do something without his brother. He's being a total bitch. And if you think it's okay for him to boycott his contract because he's upset about a business move then for fricks sake you need a tampon.

The Suns obviously weren't interested in honoring their commitment to keep them together, so why should he care about his commitment to the Suns?

Seriously this franchise is starting to prove that they really don't have their shite together when it comes to taking care of their players

The Morris twins are relatively shitty people and I haven't exactly read every piece written about this situation, but I'm pretty sure the suns are really fricked up.

I get what you're saying but that doesn't mean he can't have an opinion. Remember that the Suns let them work out their own contract extension. So one may have taken less and more so they could remain playing together. Had his brother not been on the team, Markieff Morris would probably have signed for a larger amount of money.

Yea they took less to re-sign there, I can see being upset. Dragic definitely felt lied to by the front office as well.
But the Morris bros are crazy and can only blame themselves. Their act was funny two years ago when the suns were good but you could tell hornacek had enough. Sucks because markieff is good and could have a great career.

Well if they weren't getting into trouble off the court...
Markieff is going to land himself in Philly if he's not careful.

opinion=saying dumb shite about the suns, which is fine
boycotting your contract and demanding a trade goes beyond what his opinion is.

People say a lot of things... doesn't mean that it's going to happen.

Starting?
Its a crime against the NBA gods how cheap Robert Sarver was when he had Nash/Marion/Amare in town. They were constantly trading players and picks to avoid the luxury tax when they should have gone all in on winning and worried about saving money later.

If you read the info out there about the situation Kieff said that he isn't pissed that they traded Marcus. It's the way they went about it. He also said that he understands that he can't expect to play with Marcus for his entire career, and isn't demanding a trade to the Pistons.

Well he is from Philly, so he might not be that mad about that

Why should I care what he does or does not do. He has a contract to play basketball. If he refuses to play basketball, he doesn't get paid. I would also imagine that if he refuses to play basketball for too long, the team would have recourse to reclaim any bonus money they paid him. So, again, why should I care?
