Recap of Stephen A.'s comments: Texas Tech will deal with fan if he used racial slurs. But that does not excuse Smart's actions. He needs control. Should be suspended and suggested 5 games.

As usual, Stephen A. shocks everyone who hasn't listened to him for the last 5 years by not playing the race card.

He's usually dead on when it comes to stories that involve race these days, but he's an easy target for idiots who don't actually listen to his comments

This is the article in the link:

Texas Tech conducted its own investigation of Saturday's night incident involving Marcus Smart and a fan, announcing its findings on Sunday evening.

Jeff Orr, the Texas Tech fan, denied using a racial slur toward Smart on Saturday night but will not attend any more games this season.

The school said that Orr admitted he used an inappropriate phrase and also volunteered his punishment.

Tech interviewed Orr, other fans, photographers and other personnel in the area.

Here is Orr's complete statement:

"I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere apologies to Marcus Smart, Oklahoma State, Tubby Smith and the Texas Tech Men's Basketball program. My actions last night were inappropriate and do not reflect myself or Texas Tech - a university I love dearly. I regret calling Mr. Smart a "piece of crap" but I want to make it known that I did not use a racial slur of any kind. Additionally, I would like to offer my apologies to Texas Tech fans that have been embarrassed by the attention this incident has created."

Listen harder when Smart falls into the stands. It was pretty audible IMO.

To all the smart supporters.

If someone came in my office complaining and called me a piece of crap, do I have the right to shove him and kick him out?

Will wait for your responses.

And alas we have proof that nothing over the top was said to Smart. That whole "college student event" stuff was retarded too.

This wasn't q Student Gov't meeting. It's college basketball, athletes have come to expect some banter. Smart was just a guy who can't handle a losing streak and the banter to accompany it.

No one really was supporting smart through and through, they were merely talking as IF a racial slur was used.

If the "piece of crap" part is true then I'm sure no one is really gonna be "supporting" his actions

Will all the race baiters who pushed a Orr is racist agenda come back to eat their words?

Whew...good thing we aren't talking about murder here. This thread appears to be drying up fast. Too bad because some posters were certainly in rare form......
