Manute truly was a great humanitarian and proved he would do anything to help Sudan. He knew he was a punchline to most people, but put his ego and pride aside whether it was celebrity boxing, becoming the tallest man to compete in a minor league ice hockey game, etc.
He even participated in a SNL commercial making fun of himself.

Yes. And gave virtually all of his money to Sudan. Not to mention actually going their personally and trying to settle differences between warring tribes and warlords. I think the NBA HOF should admit him as a humanitarian and ambassador of the game.
