It's sad how he ended his career. He was a liability the entire game. It was cringeworthy
As it turns out, he was less of a liability than his counterpart, who happened to be the league MVP. But that's neither here nor there.

If you don't think Manning called most of the game, you just might be a hater.

When did the NFL change the rules to the benefit of passing offense?
In the early '70s they outlawed the bump and run, which had allowed DBs to mug receivers at the line
In the late '70s they permitted OL to block by pushing off with their hands -- aka legalized holding. BION before then OL had been forced to block with their forearms.
These two rule changes, along with the WCO, are the difference between the old "classic" NFL -- say after the T formation's introduction in the early '40s -- and the modern NFL. It's why you can reasonably compare Peyton, Brady, and Brees to Montana, Marino, and Elway, but not Baugh, Graham, or even Unitas (whose consecutive TD streak would not be broken until after 50 years and at least 2 major rule changes). It's a different game.

"Receivers are pussies now and quarterbacks throw for 10,000 yards so no one should get in the Hall now. Rabble rabble rabble!"

Compare Tom Brady's postseason in 2001-02 season to Mannings this year and get back to me

How did winning a Super Bowl as Trent Dilfer make him the GOAT?

hat win totally changes his legacy to tGOAT because he did it with 2 different teams.
Only to morons. Peyton was the greatest QB ever in after 2009 everything since was him lapping the field

He stood like a statue in the pocket, couldn't make downfield throws, and committed two turnovers. He threw for less than 150 yards, no touchdowns, and his 56.6 rating was fourth worst all time for a Super Bowl. The only nice pass he threw was the slant for the 2 point conversion. I'll give him that one.
Justice. He made a career out of leading garbage rosters to conference title games and super bowls.
