If you play in the Big12 you likely have a gimmick offense that shits its bed against a physical team.

Throw Oregon into that Big 12 analysis.

Oregon will score 70 on South Dakota next year to open up the season and Baylor will hang 70 on Northwestern State and the drum will beat about how they are unstoppable and this is the year they will go all the way

Rinse and repeat for 2015, 2016, 2017....

The best teams in each conference will always be pumped. If that bothers you now wait until when USC has a good team again. The hype that they get is just unreal. Them and Notre Dame. But then again when USC was good they absolutely annihilated other good teams in big games so it was deserved.

What's even more ridiculous about that whole thing was that Baylor's offense was better than Oregon's offense THE ENTIRE SEASON until tonight, but Oregon was the BEST OFFENSE EVER and the media acted like the BCS Title Game was a birthright, while Baylor was a "fluke" that didn't get any respect until Oregon lost.

The writers and voters are idiots or irrational hypocrites in a lot of ways.

A) OSU doesn't have a gimmick offense
B) 23 in a row is pretty fricking evident that the bed has not been shat

They ran into buzz saws in 2006 and 2007. Done okay in BCS games since then

Were we all watching the same UO game? I saw LOTS of drops by WR's and missed opportunities in the red zone. The fumble and that second int really hurt but the offense DID however move the ball. You know what's funny is that if UO beat AU then you'd lump them in there too when that AU team was pretty good.

Disclaimer: I apologize if I got AU and UA mixed up. I hate it when people call UO OU but I hardly talk about SEC so you can't blame me.

You lost by 4 touchdowns to an average Pac 12 team. The glass is half empty.

How many touchdowns did the offense give up again? I saw the defense give up a record high rush yards to Arizona though.

Dude let it go. There wasnt anything positive to take from the game today and Zona played a hell of a game. Hopefully Mariota is OK and we take care of Oregon State.

A true, pragmatic fan. I'd buy you a beer if I were in Oregon.

Lmfao. Programs like Baylor and Oregon wish they had our BCS record. Go back to be irrelevant

No denying that, but that's not the same thing as being gimmicky. Gimmicky is trick plays, lots of motion, etc., IMO. I'm probably being a bit of a homer and am definitely pissed at this game, but Baylor pretty much lines up and runs ball right at you. Their passing game definitely has moments when it relies on timing, but what teams don't. I wouldn't say theirs is overly dependent on timing plays.

I don't think Baylor is that gimmicky. I just think they usually don't have a good defense and aren't really tested very many times per year.

I think gimmicky is used to mean "less physical" around here a lot of times.

No irrelevancy here, I'm an LSU and Baylor fan. Went to Baylor for 2 years before transferring back to LSU.

OSU is still a loser in BCS National championship games

Which is exactly why a HUNH offense will never win a title!!

You're screwing your defense by not trying to control the ball and win time of possession

Again, Auburn 2010. They scored decently fast.

ETA - HUNH or not, you need to be physical in the trenches to win a championship. That is the difference. Pair a great defense with a HUNH and you have a legit contender.
