NBA games are more expensive, the season takes place in the middle of the school year, and most seats don't allow a good view of the game.

These sound like reasons of why MLS has more of an average attendance than NBA.

No one is seriously saying MLS is more popular; we're just rustling a few jimmies.

But stats is stats brah.

And what is the average without the Sounders average home attendance of 43,144?

What freaking difference does that make? If you can sell more seats, you sell more seats. It's not like all of the NBA teams are selling out every single game.

NBA stadiums are all full for every game and the only reason the owners aren't building stadiums with more seating is, uh, .... ?

If they compared the stats of NBA playoff games with stats of the MLS these stats would be a lot more even. People go to games that matter.
