Maybe they should make the court bigger and allow more scoring and fans. That would probably draw a bigger crowd to watch the professional basketball contests.

So does this mean the MLS is more popular than the NBA?

Also, I'm betting soccer is a sport that is much better to watch in person than on TV. While Basketball is actually easier to follow for most on TV

No

I'm pretty sure it means MLS has a higher average attendance than NBA.

dumb, dumb argument. MLB has 81 home games and kicks NBA's arse all around.

Sure, the baseball stadiums are much bigger, but with your amount of games logic, 81 games should offset the stadium capacity.

But doesn't that mean the MLS is more popular?

Every game doesn't have as big of an impact like they do in Soccer and Football. So people don't give a frick about the shitty team games in the middle of the week so they don't go to them.

Going to my first professional soccer game tomorrow and I'm so pumped. I've watched several games on tv, but only seen two high school and one college game in person.

So they should shorten the season then if the games dont matter enough.

I've never attended an MLS or NBA game, by the way.

But you can go to an MLB game for $20 in the outfield. Plus, there are barely any bad seats in the house at baseball stadiums. NBA games are more expensive, the season takes place in the middle of the school year, and most seats don't allow a good view of the game.

How many are non-soccer specific?

And what is the average without the Sounders average home attendance of 43,144?

I will admit...I'm surprised by this.

I didn't think MLS drew 10k per game to be honest.
