it is only week 3... getting whipped like that happens at the highest level. how they watch tape and bounce back is the measure of him as a coach in 4A and when they come back to 5A.
one thing, in class 1A, he had the same talent gap between him and his foes as he has at St. Aug, but South Plaq played teams that had no one who could threaten to score. he had nothing to worry about except his team's execution against Ridgewoods and Crescent Citys.
Shaw put up 49 points on Jesuit and Holy Cross put up 535 yards of offense on us. St. Aug should win those though. East Jeff will be 7-0 or 6-1 when they presumably play for the district championship
No girls at St. Aug so he doesn't have to worry about that lol

So I just read the Times Pic article about this game and it said that St Aug was penalized on a fake punt...Fournette went towards the sideline and stopped just in bounds, being left uncovered by a defender, and the punter completed a pass to him for the first, but it was called back due to "unsportsmanlike conduct - deception". I have never heard of this rule before, much less being called in a game.

Player has to be inside the numbers when ready for play is given
And refs have to be alerted to play before it is run...
a powerhouse team(one with a few state titles). uses this ALL the time......
they haven't used it yet this year but they did throw a 50 yard td pass to wideout that did the same thing.. has to be more to the story.

St aug will always bitch about refs, but never admit to be one of most undisciplined HS football teams in the NOLA area year in and year out. ...

You attended the game?
We definitely had some discipline issues which is expected at times with a new staff... But I'll be damned if that call during our 1st possession of the game didn't screw up our emotions... Especially right after we just stopped Rummel...
