Did St Aug look as bad as the score indicated?

very dominating performance... Rummel ran trap almost exclusively on one third quarter drive and scored...

welcome to big-school ball Crutchfield

I dont think they were bad, just not as good as people think.

a stud RB can carry you, but generally doesnt work against a well coached team like rummel

Rummel teams under Jay Roth just seem to have everything... running game, capable QB even if Roth doesn't use him like 06, OLine bigger than Tulane, tough defense

Don't know why Aug hasn't played any defense since the 90's. It's not like they lack for athletes.

I didnt see the game, but it sounds like the officials made some questionable calls on each side

Yes!!

Roth and staff took good notes last week... Our starting LB went down with a knee injury and we definitely missed him when Rummel started running the ball... The D just looked confused all night, plus the poor play calling and very good field position giving to the Raiders kept us in the hole...

Damien Williams is Blue Chip all the way...

Anyway, I'm 35, getting too old for this high school ball... Somebody holla when a Catholic League team is back in the Dome...

Rummel will continuously beat aug because of more discipline in the trenches. Played against aug. they have big boys but on defense have no discipline at all.

Tell me about it!!

Man, I miss my high school days... We are no where near that level yet... It's just a certain demeanor the kids lack... Been that way for over a decade... Crutch will get us there... We just need a staff to hang around more than just 3 seasons...

As one person said discipline is definitely correct. Also u can't win if the other team starts inside ur 30 almost every possession.

crutchfield doesnt believe in coaching special teams (punting and kicking) and thats why he will not be successful in the higher classes.

U sound fricking stupid son. Have u been to any of his practices? They work on special teams. Just don't have a punter. The kicker isn't that bad

it's cost him either one or two state titles...

and tonight. they had a bad snap on a punt that gave rummel great field position, they had horrible clock management at the end of the first half and didn't kick a field goal, they didn't kick PATs and instead went for two and missed after their touchdowns

the game was changed when Rummel went from 14-12 to 21-12, a two possession game

I was at the game and Rummel was very impressive. Damian Williams was playing on one leg. In my opinion if he is 100% healthy Rummel wins by another 2 tds. Williams didn't run the ball the whole game bc of his hamstring injury. Rummel's offensive and defensive lines dominated most of the game. Rummel has a stable of 3 or 4 running backs who were pretty impressive.
