he LHSAA ruled that Parkway used an inelgible player today. Parkway would have to forfeit wins for the games he participated in (most or all). That would knock them out and would hurt Byrd and Calvary too.

They are estimating Byrd would drop to 3 or 4 in the PRs.

Calvary would drop down to about 2nd,

So if you win your district but aren't top 32, if possible. Do you get left out?

No. #32 in the PRs will get bumped out.

Hopefully Parkway will win its appeal hearing on Wednesday. Those poor kids can't catch a break.

Brother Martin & Rummel are both undefeated in the same district, so I guess Brother Martin played a better non district schedule.

But Rummel is ranked in the top 15 in the nation according to the USA Today.

Ranking and power ranking two different animals

They still have never won a playoff game, right? I know as of about 4-5 years ago they hadn't.

Happened a few years ago with Central. Then they proceeded to beat #1 St. Paul's in the first round of the playoffs.

North Caddo is 0-8 right now and would be the #32 seed in the 2A playoffs.

If they're going to do select/nonselect separation, they need to go down to four classifications. 0 and 1 win teams in the playoffs is embarrassing for everyone involved.

I'm old. I remember when making the playoffs was a reward and an accomplishment. Kids get patches on their letterman jackets for that. If going winless in a hard district is all you need to do, then our standards are too low. Part of the "everyone gets a trophy" mentality. If they're not going to win it all, then don't let them in, give the top 8 seeds a bye, and make it a 24 team bracket.

I dont like either extreme... But why should 0-10 small class teams be able to get in while 5-5 5a teams have to.sweat out week 10, just bc.they happen to have more private schools in 1a and 2a.
