I'm saying they completely 180'd the college rule as much as humanly possible.

No paying players --> unlimited paying players

Do they want a college players Union? Because that’s how they get a players Union.

That is coming regardless if the big schools break off or not.

FWIW I don't like unions. I don't think they are needed in todays world of labor laws. Make no mistake though they are coming.

Old School guys can't deal with young people being uncommitted, going back on their commitment or what they agreed to

Nicky dealt with it rather well when he was convincing young people to drop their commitments and what they agreed to with other schools, I'd say.

NIL was never meant to be an open playground to buy players, and coaches having to re-recruit their roster all year long, that's what we're doing and it must stop...

Common sense must prevail

Common sense told everyone it would become pay to play very quickly.

Ncaa football needs a commissioner to reign in the nil/portal nonsense. Saban is the guy for the job. He has good ideas, understands the loopholes, and everyone would listen to him

The problem is that a signed LOI is not worth the ink it took to put your John Hancock on. Commitment is only a one-way street. Show me another business model in life where that dynamic is in play, much less successful.

The kids are running the asylum because the adults gave them the keys. Either you take them back through a signed and binding commitment to play at that school for a specific period of time or college football implodes because of unregulated greed.

I quit watching in 2020, I stated this was what was going to happen. When those clowns sued(or threatened to sue), the NCAA should have said, after the current scholarships run out we will be offering no further scholarships.

Within 10 minute those California lawyers who sued (or was threatening to) would have been backtracking. This was their grand idea, they wanted to make money themselves, they will play each college against the other every year just like the agents do with coaches.

Its stupid to go down that road, imho that is why Saban quit, I do not blame him. Everyone who watches this crap evolve will see it destroy the game of CFB.

No one would listen to me three years ago, now its going to come home to roost.
