Why does no one really respect Clemson as they should? Since Dabo took over, Clemson has really become a premiere team in cfb. Their resume' includes beating some of the bigger names in the past years. Wins over the likes tOSU, LSU, Georgia and Oklahoma twice are some of the big wins they have pulled off. They return pretty much all the offense and added good depth on defense. Clemson is my odds on favorite to win it this year.

???

I've seen multiple people say they will run the table this year.

I have heard some say they will still "Clemson" this season.

I think they'll run the table then ultimately lose to Bama in the playoffs.

People dislike Dabo. When things are good he is all smiles and one liners. When it goes bad it's salt and vinegar. He is a good coach though. Those kids play hard for him and they finally found an offensive line last year.

It's just the way it will be until they win the national title. I don't think anyone is dismissing them this year, they are one of the top picks to win it all. The ACC just isn't very good, so their entire season will be defined by the playoff assuming they make it.

I have no problems with Dabo other than all the dancing and yes he does need to tone it down a bit and be more tactful in interviews after the game. I also want Bama to take two Brinks trucks to his house when Saban retires and make him tells us "frick no" at the top of his lungs before we concede on landing him.

Lost a lot of good players from last year, especially on defense. Both starting DE's, one returning starting LB, replacing 3 of 4 DB's. That doesn't necessarily mean they'll be much worse off, but those front 7 losses hurt. Particularly with the pass-rush, considering they'll be playing so many new guys in the secondary. Offense looks good though.

A lot of people don't understand what "Clemsoning" is. They didn't "Clemson" last season so they've shown they can go through a season w/o doing it.

They added Dexter Lawrence and a couple of great LBs. They seem to be developing front 7 talent like none other as well. I think they will be just as good on defense.

They didn't "Clemson" because no one really expected them to be that legit last season. Remember, they had come off a Champs Sports Bowl season the year before. I know Watson was out, but still.

They were #1 in the initial CFP rankings. Everyone just knew they would "Clemson," but instead they remained #1 throughout the season and shite on Oklahoma in a national semi final.

I guess I don't agree with your premise. Clemson is in everyone's top 3. Every poll. Every list. Every op-ed article.

honestly things changed when they brought in venables, who turned that defense into a force.

then it all came together with Watson.

True. The difference is tOSU lost their OC which hurt them a lot and it showed early in the season. Clemson is a bit of a different story.

Not how they added depth on defense. Hey lost some big names. Had to go through the same thing last season and it worked out, though.

I think they'll be VERY good this year. 1, maybe 2 game season and I don't think FSU will be as good as people think. Clemson should be back in the playoff.

Urban couldn't get the job done?

Their OC was so bad last year. Didn't think Meyer would let that happen.
