I thought for sure two or three years ago (right after his stroke) would be his final season (especially after they honored him at the college football awards show) and now he's on for two more? I love Lee, and obviously the mascot pick is classic, but there are times right now where it's hard to watch. I'm hoping it doesn't get worse in 2014.

I like him...he's one of those guys in college football who people bitch about, but when he's not there people will miss him.

IMO like Musberger...and to a much lesser extent Verne

Gameday used to be so cool. It had a grass roots feel, not monopolized by the mothership. When they used to have bubba sparxxx back in the mud as the intro, the set, simpler times made gameday better. Now it's just a espn pony show

I used to love watching College Gameday. It feels too produced/packaged for the last few seasons. I'll still watch it on occasion, but it definitely isn't must see.

All that being said, I kind of like having the Sunshine Scooter on there and I think I'll miss him when he is gone.

That's surprising. I would have thought he would have hung it up at the end of his current contract.

Musberger has grown on me a lot. I guess that's mainly due to the dearth of great college football play by play announcers today but his presence just makes a game seem bigger. Verne sucks though. He's way past his prime and needs to be put out to pasture.

I would take Verne over Musberger 6 trillion times out of 6 trillion.

Verne is comedy gold and obviously doesn't take himself too seriously. Musberger is just lame and melodramatic and annoying.

Yeah I thought for sure after they had that pretty serious an heartfelt recognition he wasn't going to be coming back. His antics are pretty funny but it can still be sad when he messes up.

Hopefully Corso can stay on a few more years so Les Miles can retire and take his spot.

If they still put Lou Holtz on TV then there is no way they would take Corso off (I like Corso, just saying)

I don't watch gameday anyways. Stopped watching it 4 years ago. It's a joke to me.

THIS! Watching Lou Holtz in the afternoon or night is just painful.
