Exactly. You could have 3 Nick Sabans coaching and not win a title. If you had three Lebrons on ur team..... You could watch them pass the ball back n forth until the shot clock expired

lebron has the talent and personality to become one of the all time greats like jordan, ali, ruth, woods. but, he showed us this series that he doesn't want to carry that responsibility. only a select few will ever achieve that kind of success. he will have to be satisfied with being the best of his generation and not one of the greatest sportsmen in history.

i think the rumors of lebron's death are greatly exaggerated

he would have been better off not saying anything... but bottom line IMO he is right

People who are taking joy in other people's failures and disappointment are often just being assholes to take their minds off their own problems

Now his motivation for saying this is not pure... when he esp has said some dumb shite that didn't need saying

Absolutely not. Because at the end of the day, all the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal, but they have to get back to the real world at some point.

Yet another example of his total arrogance. That's an awesome way to treat fans of the NBA, tell them how much better you are than them. It's shite like this that has diminshed the NBA viewership over the last 10 years. People have literally just gotten tired of the arrogance of these thugs and so called superstars and it has hurt the numbers. I dont know what the ratings for the Finals this year compared to back in the day, and to be honest, its not really jermaine, but the amount of people that actually watch the regular season has plumetted to dismal numbers.

This shite right here is a perfect example of why.

I wish more athletes said how they really felt. I'm not a LeBron hater, but it seemed that people really validated their lives the past couple weeks by bashing the shite out of him. He's still young, and will get his.

Well, they would not win very many games that way.

Its not the players that changed, its the media. In past decades u didn't have media members asking players how it feels to be a failure n press conferences. They tried to frame the questions positively like what do you feel ya'll could have done better or differently

His response wasn't to "fans of the NBA". It was an answer to the question "Does it bother you that so many people are happy to see you fail? "

And he's not saying a damn thing about how much better off he is than they are. He's addressing the obsession that people have with seeing him fail and their fascination with overanalyzing every little thing he does or says....even to the point that there is so much hate that they can't do it with any sort of perspective or in your case forget how to actually comprehend what they read.

As a fan of his play, he really would be better off if he just didn't talk in public.

I actually wouldn't trade my life for his, or anyone else's for that matter.

Not having my wife and son--or my brothers--or my parents? Man, I couldn't imagine that. Like Charles Barkley might say, "That would be turrible!"

But if there was a way I could have his money without being a celebrity and all the headaches that come with it, and keep my family and friends--then sure, why not?

But trade my life for another man's and lose everyone I have?

i mean frick, there is a long thread talking shite about him for the typical, "when god wants me to win, i will win" comments

your average joe has the same sort of beliefs, but when lebron says it, he's an a-hole

uuuh...the media has been like this since the 40s...the last athlete the media actually protected was Babe Ruth and that's because their job depended on being able to write about him...they wrote something bad and he and the yankees would blacklist them.

The Boston media was brutal with Ted Williams
