Question: Does it bother you that so many people are happy to see you fail?

LeBron James: Absolutely not. Because at the end of the day, all the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal, but they have to get back to the real world at some point.

He has a point.

When we wake up tomorrow, our lives kind of suck.

When he wakes up tomorrow, he's still LeBron James.

Deal with it.

It's refreshing for an athlete to actually give a "boom" type answer with questions and not just go completely PC and bore us with his answers.

If this board tonight has proved anything, it's that people take this shite wayyyyyyy too seriously.

Or put it this way:

Most of us here probably have "normal" type jobs.

What if some unemployed bum type of person you know was mocking you because you got fired or laid off or some shite like that?

I'm fairly certain if someone started a thread and asked what should they tell this guy, the overwhelming response would be pretty damn similar to what Lebron said, only much more animated.

And a lot of those replies would come from the same guys who hate Lebron on here and nitpick literally every single thing he says and does.

Wouldn't trade my life for his ever. I actually succeed at what I do.

Just messing, I would definitely take his wealth.

I know you're semi-joking here, but earlier, a guy basically said the same thing, and was being serious. Like, defending his comments even after he said them.

The difference is that he didnt get fired or laid off. He just failed at his "job", again. The only reason people scrutinize him is because he is supposed to be the GOAT, claims to be this "chosen one", and yet he continually fails himself and his team when it is time to prove it. Even with one of the most talented teams ever around him. Not because all these people have personal problems and are taking their frustrations out on him.

ETA: just in case you were wondering, no i do not think my life is better than his.

And of all those people hating on them, how many of them are arguably the best in the world at what they do, and the department they work in is the 2nd best department in the world?

That's kinda the point there.

Yeah i mean i get where is he coming from. He is going to have the haters no matter what he does. But the people hating on him right now are actually doing it for a valid reason, not because they have personal problems. Thats all

I doubt that anything that happens to me this year will equal the soul-crushing loss from choking two games away from a Championship ring.

What good is being rich if money can't buy you respect.

Stay classy, King James.

So you're having a better year because you didn't come close at all to reaching the absolute pinnacle of your profession?

Help me figure this out here lol.

I've met the goals that I've set for myself. He choked.

And only one of us will sleep well until next season.

And when he wakes up Rashard Lewis is still fricking his girl.

Sure he has a point I guess, but it's not really breaking news though. I didn't expect this series in any way to solve life problems.

The point is that it's stupid for him to slam his detractors right on the heels of the biggest choke of his life. Mentally and emotionally, he won't be doing any better than 99% of the people knocking him.
