If I told you you could have $1million if you chose correctly, I'm guessing you'd choose that yea, Lebron can actually say that.

I have no idea what any of this means. I understand what a million dollars is, I understand what choosing is, but I have no idea what you're trying to say. Are you asking if I'd like a million dollars? If so, then yeah. Are you asking if I'd trade a faithful girlfriend and have my mom get railed by my friends for a million dollars, no.

How about grasping the concept of relevance, you wanna start with that one and move to cliches?

Dirk definitely outplayed LeBron in the series. Last night was the biggest game in the series as it was an elimination game. Dirk shot 9-27 (33%) last night with 1 assist while LeBron shot 9-15 with 6 assists....or did you miss that?

Since you think a player's entire career should be judged on scoring only and how he performs on the biggest stage....how is THIS for relevance.

William "The Refrigerator" Perry scored a TD in Super Bowl XX and Water Payton did not? Does that make The Fridge a better RB?

LeBron finished 3rd in the MVP this year after having won it the past 2 years and Dirk hasn't finished higher than 6th in that time. 120 sportswriters who cover the sport for a living determined that. Countless current and former NBA players have all said that LeBron is the best player in the game, even as Kobe is leading the Lakers to back to back titles. But your opinion is that over an extended period of time that Dirk is and has been better than LeBron? I guess it's a free country.

The thing is if you are going to put yourself out there with a big interview on ESPN to announce you're going to Miami, and then the Heat do a big production of introducing the Fab Three. Followed by taking jabs at the eventual MVP of the finals. You also talk about going to a place to win championships is why you are leaving Cleveland.

You just might want to come away with the Trophy at the end of the year and not disappear during key times in the finals. He should not respond at all. Yes it bothers him so many wanted him and the Heat to fail.

Ohhh, I think I've determined the problem here. For some reason you seem to think that Most VALUABLE player = Best Player. It's not the same thing.

Yes, Refrigerator Perry is a better RB than Walter Payton. Idiot.

Kinda ironic considering everyone typically whines it's given to the best player, and not actually the most valuable player

Oh, really..........from Wikpedia

In sports, a Most Valuable Player (MVP) award is an honor typically bestowed upon the best performing player or players on a specific team, in an entire league, or for a particular contest or series of contests.

Comments from this thread? Or comments from tigerdroppings? Or just comments about LeBron in general?

You can celebrate last night that he lost, but in the morning, you had to go to work and continue your life with no more meaning that it had Sunday morning. LeBron will live his life the way he wants, and he has every right to do so.

true, but sports and entertainment in general are an escape from everyday life.

Lebron's statement just confirms the fact that he is a grade A douchebag

He has a target on his back shaped like the Chosen 1

I was pulling for the Heat. I have never been one of the "LeBron Haters", because I don't feel them.
For me, LeBron James deserves a ring, and that's why I'm rooting for him.

He should thank his supporters instead of bashing his Haters.

Yes, he did not achieve his goal. I hope that he and Mr. Wade can get back to work and correct whatever deficiencies that caused this setback.

Haters gonna hate. I'm looking forward to seeing the "New and Improved James and Wade Show" in 2012 !

getting a tat that states "CHOSEN 1"

I heard the Heat are adding a stipulation in his contract that the tat has to be reworked to read "FROZEN 1"

Well hopefully it was and it wasn't about the relative states of our personal lives; because people aren't convinced my teammate fricked my mother and if I have a bad day at the office most people don't start reporting it's because Rashard Lewis fricked my girlfriend. My personal life FTW.

Maybe this should have been a Rashard Lewis appreciation thread

Dirk has certainly been underappreciated, even before this year's play-offs. I am very glad Dallas won, but I would still make the Heat the pre-season favorite in 2011-12. It took Dirk 13 seasons to win a title--doubt that it will take Lebron that many years. Even though LeBron is hated by many, he, Wade & Bosh will likely be even better together next season. If they can get a solid big man in the off-season, look out.

Read the post I quoted where he said "lebron can't say that", as if to insinuate all those rumors were factual, or that he believed them.

it's easy to just say, yea, you believe a rumor. But if it actaully mattered, like if someone said they knew the answer and you had to guess if the rumor was correct or not, you get $1million, I'd imagine that poster who claims "lebron can't say that" would change his tune really quickly and guess that those rumors were just rumors and not true at all.

IMO, Lebron isn't hated for what he said, he's hated because he is the one that said it, and he's already hated to begin with.

As for my best way to "prove" this, another former NBA player during this same NBA Finals was interviewed and asked his thoughts on people ranting about him not having rings, and his reply was:

"I'm really rich"
"Those people are idiots."
"They're losers."
"They have to go back to their jobs at McDonals."

The guy that said that is beloved by what seems like 99.9% of America.

- Disclaimer: This isn't defenidng Lebron's quotes, just pointing out an inconsistency it seems
