David Wilson has a realistic chance at running a 4.2-4.3 and I think he'll be the 1st runningback taken if he does

Such proclamations never end well.

Look, there are very, very few legit 4.3s, let alone 4.2s...

The fastest time was a 4.24, per the article. In the end, LMJ will probably be LaMichael "blue skies" James. However, there was a whole thread on this board about him even making 4.5 when he announced going pro.

I do think he breaks 4.4.

This is ridiculous!!! Nobody has run a true 4.2 since Jose canseco did it in 1993

Please don't shoot the messenger. He said it, not me.

Since the MSB is full of MMA, golf and cricket threads, thought I'd bring it over.

It's a pretty brazen comment.

dude is extremely overrated. He looked completely average against LSU. Reminds me of Rashaan Salaam but smaller. Gets a pitch then runs in a straight line for long yardage against dogshit defenses.

Suckier. In all seriousness, I think Mack's time is over.

Btw, I know you don't get excited about 4 stars let alone a 3 star but I think Cottrell is a stud in the making. Note to Mack Brown: flip the texas kids Kelly offers. I don't think Kelly has missed on a Texas kid. All of them have been solid contributors to studs.

I don't care about James, but back in high school, got to see Mingo anchor WM at the state championships. The 400m relay team he was on posted some times that had them around the Top 5 nationally early on in outdoor season. To see a 6'5" 215ish guy running under a 49 in high school was pretty surreal. He was basically head-to-head with a guy from Catholic and his kick on the final 100m was incredible to watch. Not sure if I've seen anything as spectacular in sports up close.

Sure. Let's say he makes it. Does he overcome the 3rd round back because he's a 3rd down back? Does that speed propel him to the 1st round?

If he is running in the 4.3 range, no way he makes it to the third round. Hell, not sure how he would escape the first. That is elite.

I'll answer the OP since everyone likes bashing the Ducks. Yes, he'll go late first round early second of he breaks the 4.2 barrier. Somebody will take a chance on him, thinking he's Chris Johnson 2.0

Yeah, I agree with that. I'm just saying that it's extremely unlikely that he does that. Granted, I'm in the camp that says that 40 times are overrated, even though I'm a speed guy in sports.

Gotcha.
